Fukufuku Manpuku

The story is set in early 19th century Japan. Ofuku's father is a chef who sells prepared foods at a food stall. Even at a young age, she devotes herself to reading cookbooks and learning how to cook by helping her father. As time passes, Ofuku works hard every day to become a chef like her father, but her father dies from overwork. Furthermore, in order to repay her father's unknown debts, she ends up working at a teahouse where girls serve women.
