Iga Inka Ninpouchou

In the Yamagami Domain of Ueno Province, women have historically held great power, and the domain's administration has been run by women. The current lord, Yamagami Zennosuke, has no male heir, and a large amount of gold has been discovered in the copper mine on his territory, leading to a fierce battle between the shogunate, which seeks the Yamagami Domain's territory and gold, and the Yamagami family. After witnessing the horrific fate of a spy sent to the Yamagami family's Edo residence at the hands of a female ninja, Hattori Hanzo decides to dispatch Bijomaru and Mara no Kotengu as ninjas to counter the female ninja. Thus begins the fierce battle between Bijomaru and the Yamagami family's proud female ninjas, Beni Benten, Inpu Ranmaru, Chizuri Maya, and Doteman. This volume includes three stories: the title story "Iga Inka Ninpocho," as well as "Ninpo Shimizu Port" and "Tokimoto Ninpocho." Among the many works by Ken Ishikawa, who has created action, period dramas, serious story manga, and hilarious gag manga, this gag comedy stands out as particularly unique.
