Fine was once adored by the people as a Great Saint blessed with extraordinary healing powers. But one day, a scheme by her rival, the junior saint Kilia leads to her being branded a criminal and expulsion from the Church. As if that were not enough, her money-driven parents sell her into marriage to a young margrave of the frontier-dwelling Naruka, a tribe labeled “heretics” by the wider world.
