Shirota - who lives alone in a village that never has spring - meets Heidi - an injured wolf beast and three wolf children accompanying him on a blizzard day. His village's rules were to absolutely not go near beastmen, but he couldn't leave the injured beastmen alone in the storm, so he invited the wolf into his house until his wound healed.
