In the manga "Zoids" drawn by Ochiyoshihiko-sensei, the main character Joe, an earthling boy, rides a Gojulas, which is the main machine as a member of the Republic Army, and fights against the Imperial Army. Readers at the time must have been thrilled with the success of the popular Gojulas.
