Always Dreaming

The protagonist, Ichiro Tadano , is an introverted and unpopular high school student who lacks self-confidence . His only hobby is drawing manga, indulging in fantasies of a love story in which he is the main character and Michiru Kisaragi , the girlfriend of his friend Kotaro Kakei , is the heroine. However, Michiru reads his manga. Taking to heart the words of encouragement she casually says at that time, Tadano decides to pursue a career as a manga artist .

The story follows Tadano, an ordinary high school student who loves manga, as he struggles and grapples with various people, including Michiru's words, Kojima Noriko, a female student at his high school who quickly made her debut and became a popular manga artist , and editor Izumi, as he grows into a full-fledged manga artist.
