Ex-Sponsor

Cheong-Yeon asks Do-Heon for a divorce, putting an end to their three-year marriage.

“I feel like I’ve seen everything there is to see by now, so let’s just end it here. Please grant me a divorce, Mr. Do-Heon.”

And so, Yu Cheong-Yeon, a high school graduate from a working-class background, now finds himself labeled a divorcee. He struggles to restart her acting career, which he had given up due to Do-Heon’s opposition, but his ex-husband seems to be acting strangely.

“A sugar… daddy?”

Eventually, Do-Heon even offers Cheong-Yeon a sugar daddy arrangement.

“Once a week. You’ll meet me every Friday night.”
“Why should I accept a sugar daddy arrangement from you, Mr. Do-Heon?”
“Because I can get you a role in that drama. As the lead, of course.”
“Fine. As long as there’s no physical contact. It’s not like you’re making this offer just because you want to sleep with me anyway.”
“Why do you think I wouldn’t ask you for sex?”
“Of course sex is included. Isn’t that a basic condition of a sugar arrangement?”
