Sayaka returns to Miharashi-ga-Oka, a place she had never intended to return to, to care for her hospitalized father, only to discover that the rice ball shop she frequented as a child is still in business. It has been more than 30 years since "At Miharashi-ga-Oka" won the Excellence Award at the 15th (1986) Japan Cartoonists Association Awards. This long-awaited book version of Yoko Kondo's series, which depicts people living in the "present" in a residential area near Tokyo, has been published. The prologue and epilogue feature new illustrations of "Space Grandpa" (part 1 and part 2).
