One Woman and the War

This ambitious work took the author six years to create. It tells the story of a nihilistic novelist who senses signs of defeat and despairs of Japan, and an insensitive woman who used to work in a brothel and a bar. The two, saved by the war, live together for a fleeting moment, heightened by the days of air raids, and then come to an end with the end of the war... His interest in war led him to delve into Sakaguchi Ango's unique work, and he has drawn on a vast amount of historical material for historical research, and compiled the original, uncensored versions of "War and a Woman," "Continuation of War and a Woman," and "I Want to Embrace the Sea," which were published before GHQ censorship, into a single story and expressed it in manga form.
